Property Value

The value of this property cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The default value of this property is "" (String.Empty).

Remarks

CAUTION: When this object is serialized, the password is persisted with it, in the plain text.

The NewPrivateKeyPassword only has effect when SetNewPassword is true. In such case, the newly created certificate will be protected with the password given by NewPrivateKeyPassword, and this password will also become the currently configured password in the application. When SetNewPassword is false, the newly created certificate will be protected with the password currently configured in the application, if any.
