IsStrictlyPhysical Method (UAWriterGroupDescriptor)

OpcLabs.EasyOpcUA Assembly > OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.PubSub Namespace > UAWriterGroupDescriptor Class : IsStrictlyPhysical Method
The URI string of the PubSub transport profile.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Determines whether the (standard) topic tree is used.
Determines whether this PubSub object descriptor is strictly physical with specified transport profile URI string.

) override

Parameters

transportProfileUriString
The URI string of the PubSub transport profile.

The value of this parameter cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

assumeTopicTree
Determines whether the (standard) topic tree is used.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

A null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is passed to a method that does not accept it as a valid argument.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

Remarks

With transport profiles that use JSON, the writer group descriptor is always strictly physical. With other transport profiles, for a writer group descriptor to be strictly physical, it must not have a (non-empty) logical name.

This method is pure, i.e. it does not have observable side effects.
