GuidIdentifierString Property (UANodeId)

GUID identifier value (Globally Unique Identifier), expressed as a string.

Property Value

The value of this property cannot be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The default value of this property is "" (String.Empty).

Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

A null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is passed to a method that does not accept it as a valid argument.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

The format of an argument is invalid, or a composite format string is not well-formed.
Remarks

The getter method of this property is pure, i.e. it does not have observable side effects.

OPC UA node Id, represented by the UANodeId class, directly identifies a node in a server's address space.
