EndpointSelectionPolicy Property (_UAEndpointDescriptor)

OpcLabs.EasyOpcUA Assembly > OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.ComTypes Namespace > _UAEndpointDescriptor Interface : EndpointSelectionPolicy Property
Determines how the UA client chooses the endpoint from the endpoints provided by the UA server.
Syntax
'Declaration

<CanBeNullAttribute()>
Property EndpointSelectionPolicy As UAEndpointSelectionPolicy
'Usage

Dim instance As _UAEndpointDescriptor
Dim value As UAEndpointSelectionPolicy

instance.EndpointSelectionPolicy = value

value = instance.EndpointSelectionPolicy
[CanBeNull()]
UAEndpointSelectionPolicy EndpointSelectionPolicy {get; set;}
[CanBeNull()]
property UAEndpointSelectionPolicy^ EndpointSelectionPolicy {
   UAEndpointSelectionPolicy^ get();
   void set (    UAEndpointSelectionPolicy^ value);
}

Property Value

This value of this property can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The default value of this property is null.

Remarks

When null, a policy from the session parameters is used.

Because the OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Engine.UAEndpointSelectionPolicy has an implicit conversion from OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Engine.UAMessageSecurityModes, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use a OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Engine.UAMessageSecurityModes in place of OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Engine.UAEndpointSelectionPolicy value when setting this property, and the corresponding OPC UA endpoint selection policy will be constructed automatically. When the implicit conversion operators are not supported (such as with Python.NET), you can use the OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Engine.UAEndpointSelectionPolicy.UAEndpointSelectionPolicy Constructor(UAMessageSecurityModes) constructor instead.

This member or type is for use from COM. It is not meant to be used from .NET or Python. Refer to the corresponding .NET member or type instead, if you are developing in .NET or Python.

This method or property does not throw any exceptions, aside from execution exceptions such as System.Threading.ThreadAbortException or System.OutOfMemoryException.
