OPC Studio User's Guide and Reference
RefreshTrustLists Method (IEasyUAClientServerApplicationExtension)
Example

OpcLabs.EasyOpcUA Assembly > OpcLabs.EasyOpc.UA.Application.Extensions Namespace > IEasyUAClientServerApplicationExtension Class : RefreshTrustLists Method
The OPC UA client/server application object that will perform the operation.
The GDS endpoint acting as OPC UA certificate manager (CM).
Retrieves the current trust lists for the application from the certificate manager, and refreshes own certificate stores accordingly.
Syntax
'Declaration

<ExtensionAttribute()>
Public Shared Function RefreshTrustLists( _
   ByVal application As IEasyUAClientServerApplication, _
   ByVal gdsEndpointDescriptor As UAEndpointDescriptor _
) As UATrustListMasks
'Usage

Dim application As IEasyUAClientServerApplication
Dim gdsEndpointDescriptor As UAEndpointDescriptor
Dim value As UATrustListMasks

value = IEasyUAClientServerApplicationExtension.RefreshTrustLists(application, gdsEndpointDescriptor)

Parameters

application
The OPC UA client/server application object that will perform the operation.
gdsEndpointDescriptor
The GDS endpoint acting as OPC UA certificate manager (CM).

Return Value

Returns a bit mask indicating which trust lists have been refreshed.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

A null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) is passed to a method that does not accept it as a valid argument.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

The OPC UA operation has failed. This operation exception in uniformly used to allow common handling of various kinds of errors. The System.Exception.InnerException always contains information about the actual error cause.

This is an operation error that depends on factors external to your program, and thus cannot be always avoided. Your code must handle it appropriately.

Remarks

The operation first updates the application's registration in the GDS. It then retrieves the trust lists from the certificate manager and adds them to the certificate stores.
